December – No Cancer Awareness Month?
The fall is a busy time for cancer awareness months, with September, October and November raising awareness for ten(!) different cancer types. Things slow down dramatically in the winter, with no awareness campaigns until March. The most popular fundraising events seem to be walks and runs, and I suppose it’s much harder to motivate people to participate when it’s freezing cold outside!
Do you know of any awareness campaigns that happen in the winter? Leave a note in comments. Also, if you have a cancer blog, or know of other cancer blogs that we should track, please leave the link in comments.
